ID Copy Protector

Black out details and add a purpose-and-date watermark to your IC, passport or licence copy before you send it. Nothing is uploaded.

Why You Should Watermark Every Copy of Your ID

Landlords, agents, employers and online sellers often ask for a photo of your IC, passport or driving licence. Once you send it, a clean copy can be reused by anyone who gets hold of it — to open accounts, sign up for services or support a scam. The ID Copy Protector lets you black out details the recipient does not need, such as part of your ID number, your address or your signature, and stamps a repeating watermark that says who the copy is for and when it was made. A copy marked "For ABC Property rental application only" is far less useful to a fraudster. Everything happens on your device, blacked-out areas are permanently removed from the file, and hidden photo data such as location is dropped.

How to use

  1. Open a photo or scan of your ID, then drag over any details you want to black out.
  2. Type who the copy is for — the watermark updates as you type — and adjust its strength, size and colour.
  3. Click "Download protected copy" and send that version instead of the original.

Common use cases

  • Sending your IC to a property agent or landlord for a rental application.
  • Giving a passport copy to a hotel, tour agency or visa service.
  • Proving your identity to an online buyer, seller or delivery service without handing over a reusable copy.
